The Mayor of Jefferson County released Executive Order 22-2022 that declared racism as a public health crisis with a goal to address the societal, physical, and mental health impacts on Black residents and all Louisvillians. This was accompanied by the County’s Advancing Racial Equity Plan.

Ordinance - Pursuant to LMCO 30.03 and Ordinance No. 19, Series 2021 enforces that all Metro agencies complete an equity review for each departmental budget proposal. This helps the Metro Council to assess how equity is prioritized and addressed within the department budget. It also ensures that each department writes an Equity Impact Statement every fiscal year.
