In June 2020, the City of Los Angeles enacted an Executive Directive in Racial Equity in City Government to promote equity and inclusion within the City’s government.
The City of Los Angeles developed a project scoring methodology to ensure ARPA-funded projects align with the City’s equity goals in addition to ARPA and federal mandates. Each project received a score reflecting its alignment with the City’s and ARPA aims as well as the project’s capacity for helping reduce gaps in awareness, access, and participation among vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
