In 2018, The Dallas City Council approved the Dallas Resilience Strategy, which called for the advancement of equity in city government through an analysis in service delivery, strategic planning, and budget allocation. In March 2021, Dallas approved Resolution No. 21-0503, committing to promote equity and dismantle racism through all city policies, use equity principles in developing and evaluating the City’s budget, work with the community to find innovative solutions, and create a racial equity action plan in collaboration with external stakeholders.
